Our story

Picture this. It’s April 2020, the beginning of the pandemic. Jordan and I (Lydia) are just married and quarantined in a 600 SF basement apartment in Washington DC when Jordan discovers that his employer (a local nonprofit events organization) no longer has funds to keep him on staff. He was faced with a difficult decision—try to find a new job amidst a state of national emergency and unemployment, or pursue his life-long passion by starting a photography and videography company.

Starting a business during 2020 was a daunting task, especially with few clients willing to come out of quarantine to capture photos, so Jordan and I made a pact: if Jordan could get 500K followers on Tik Tok within 30 days, it would demonstrate commitment to the business and gather traction to launch the company forward once the country emerged from quarantine.

With that, Jordan and I launched a 30 day Tik Tok campaign that invited others to join us in making Jordan’s vision a reality. With the world stuck at home, what better way to engage than to create photography tutorials that could attract a global audience to support our mission? Here are a few photos we created for the campaign:

We were absolutely blown away by the support we received online, and amazingly, we accomplished our goal 5 days early! This launched the company forward, enabling us to work with incredible brands like WeWork, International Justice Mission, and more. We were proud to work with businesses and individuals alike to capture great content.

This September, we made another big decision: to move from Washington DC to Dallas, TX in order to be closer to family. Our most recent journey has us continuing to create content in Texas, and adding Jafet to our team as a drone pilot to create even more dynamic content.

Follow along with us online or reach out anytime. We are so thankful to have come so far and can’t wait to see what the future will bring.
